The photos from all seven days of AIDS/LifeCycle 8 are now up on Flickr along with the video shown at Closing Ceremonies. Over the next few days, the bloggers will be updating their blogs with their thoughts about the last days of the ride and how it feels to be back home again. Thank you to all the participants in this year's AIDS/LifeCycle. You are all heroes and we hope to see you again next year. And speaking of next year... registration for ALC9 is now open.
Day Five is Red Dress Day on AIDS/LifeCycle. Cyclists and Roadies dress in red, many in red dresses, to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS. The Cyclists rode 67 miles today from Santa Maria to Lompoc on a brand new route through the rolling hills and wide open skies of Central California wine country. There's a new video of all the fun and finery on YouTube and photos on Flickr. Gabo and Stefen are finishing up their blog updates. Drew finally had the breakdown he was told he'd have - and wrote about it. Judy and David both posted photos of their dresses and their thoughts about this day of celebration and awareness. One more camp tomorrow in Ventura. On Saturday, we ride into LA.
The Cyclists and Roadies get the ALC newsletter every morning in camp with stories about participants and the places we visit on the way to Los Angeles. There's also weather and menus and other helpful information. Here are pdf downloads of all of the issues. Enjoy!
